The Pumpulikirkko Conservation Area The stark beauty of the countryside in Rautavaara can be enjoyed in the Pumpulikirkko Conservation Area. Pumpulikirkko is in fact a gorge-like natural tear in the rock that widens towards the bottom forming a square surrounded by sheer-rising rock walls. On one of the walls there is a big pothole.
